Our curriculum and approach
At Haven Hill PreK in Holliston, MA, our programs and curriculum are designed to spark wonder, foster creativity, and build foundational learning through joyful discovery. Grounded in developmentally appropriate practices, our early education programs blend play-based exploration with purposeful, structured experiences. We nurture each child’s intellectual, emotional, and social development in a warm, welcoming setting where young learners feel confident and empowered every day.
Early discovery (ages 2–3)
Sensory play, speech development, gross and fine motor coordination, and smooth social transitions within a warm, reassuring setting.
Preschool exploration (ages 3–4)
Hands-on activities encouraging cooperation, personal independence, emerging literacy, and foundational problem-solving through creative guided play.
Kindergarten readiness (ages 4–5)
Strengthening phonemic awareness, numeracy fundamentals, and collaborative social skills to ensure a confident transition to elementary school.
Haven Hill PreK provides daily experiences designed to enrich learning through joyful routines, creative arts, and physical play.
Children can explore "Construction Corner," "Transportation Terrace," "Science Street," "Literacy Lane," "Math Motorway," "Drama Drive," and "Artistic Alley." Outdoor play extends this hands-on discovery with sandbox sensory stations, dynamic climbing structures, balance courses, and collaborative yard games.
Outdoor play and physical discovery
Outdoor exploration is central to our early childhood curriculum. Our large, fenced-in yard, in a peaceful Holliston neighborhood, provides plenty of space to climb, run, and explore nature safely. Children challenge their balance on climbing structures and rock walls over certified impact mulch, dig into creative projects in our spacious sandbox, and practice sports fundamentals. With our covered outdoor areas, children enjoy invigorating fresh air and gross motor play every single day, rain or shine (temperature permitting).
